Enjoy 2 years of access to all our hip hop and street dance events. Ensure your place at every exciting performance and battle.
All dancers must have a valid registration to maintain:
Dancer's level
Award status
Registration number
Details and upkeep of current status
category
Crews
Team dances consisting of 5 or more dancers. Each team will perform on the floor once. Our judges will score each team to give us an overall ranking. Music will be provided by the Crew/Teacher before the competition date.
duos
2 dancers competing on the floor against the rest of their category. Multiple dancers will be on the floor at the same time for a 45 second round, our judges will select duets to move onto the next heat until we reach a final. Music will not be provided beforehand.
SOlos
Freestyle solos. Multiple dancers will be on the floor at the same time for a 45 second round, our judges will then select dancers to move on to the next heat until we reach a final. Music will not be provided beforehand.
Age Categories:
6 & under, 9 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under, 16 & under, Over 17.
You must compete in the correct age category on the day of the competition. Competitors must compete in the age group of the oldest member in the group. In case a protest arises due to age concerns please be prepared to show proof of age. All protests must be signed and presented in writing within one hour of the incident to the director of 5678.
experience level
Novice
First year competing in dance competitions. If you have previously danced at any dance competition you may NOT enter NOVICE if you placed 1st to 3rd in another event.
Open
Beginner/starter dancers that have been competing for 2 or more years and NOT won at JAMZNI.
Advanced
Champ or advanced status dancers, anyone who has placed 1st or 2nd at JamzNI/ Spectrum/ DanceSupreme/ UDO/ Street Champs etc.
Pro
Dancers of a professional standard and dance teachers.
Any teachers competing at JamzNI MUST compete at a Pro level.
